This is one of the pages of my graphic novel, "Sam in New York," which can be read here: https://www.fortunusgames.com/current-projects. This features the protagonist Sam's parents, Lev and Raisa, in Odessa before they immigrated to New York City.

Sam thinks about what the past means to his parents and ponders on how there are still so many things he doesn't understand or fully understand about his parents and how they had grown up. As a filmmaker and writer, he can only try to reconstruct what his Russian-Jewish heritage (as represented by his parents) means to him.
