Raisa from Odessa

20 year old Raisa (Sam's mother) as an assistant shopkeeper at her father Ber's watchmaking shop in Odessa, in the early 1890s.

We will find out more about Lev and Raisa (Sam's parents) in Chapter 2 of my graphic novel, "Sam in New York," which you can read on Tapas and Webtoon.
