Summer Time

It's summer time with Sam and Tom Melbourne from our upcoming visual novel and indie game, "Sam in New York," only they've been placed in 2019 rather than their canonical timeline of 1920.

The main reason we wanted to show them in 2019 was to present them in these outfits, which, besides being fun to draw, also show how Sam feels about his body image. He doesn't usually think about his body image, but next to someone like Melbourne, who has been athletic since day 10 and is on the university's football team, Sam does feel a bit embarrassed about his tummy and "flabbiness." He wonders if he too can become "sculpted," but thinks it's too much effort, especially with the other things happening in his life at the time (horrible marks at law school, uncertainty about the future, disagreements with his parents about where his life should go).
