Under Mt. Fuji

This is my contest entry for Medibang's Kyoto Illustration contest, which has the theme of "Wa," （和）or Japanese culture.

I decided to go for a #ukiyo_e feel. The clouds were inspired by #hokusai woodcuts, as was the way Mt. Fuji's drawn.

So besides Mt. Fuji and the Ukiyo-e style, we have the rising red sun, which is what we see on Japan's national flag.

The sun plays an important role in Japanese mythology, since the Emperor is said to be the direct descendant of the sun goddess Amaterasu.

And as for what the girl's wearing, the kimono is Japan's national costume.
